Full Level 3 qualifications

Learners who do not already have a full level 2 qualification are entitled to study a first full level 3 qualification free of charge.

Learners who are under 25 years of age and do not have a full level 3 are also entitled to study a first full level 3 qualification free of charge.

A full level 2 qualification is loosely defined as a qualification that is equivalent to 5 GCSEs at grades A* - C. A learner who already has 5 GCSEs at grade A* - C, or an NVQ at level 2 or above, or any qualifications above level 2 is not entitled to a free full level 2 or 3 course under the government level 2 learner entitlement scheme.

Learners taking a technical certificate with an appropriate NVQ pay for one course only, if they do not qualify for fee remission.

Learners taking NVQs must complete an NVQ application pack and should be given the following documents:

• NVQ Learner Application Form (PDF*, 30K)
• Full Level 2 Declaration Form (PDF*, 96K)
• Full Level 3 Declaration Form (PDF*, 96K)
• Enrolment Form (additional form if also completing Tech Cert)
• Course Application pack (if relevant) - check relevant page for the course
