The Centre comprises, three classrooms, including an IT suite, a large hall, a community café, crèche, conference and meeting facilities, community bus and managed workspace units.

Courses offered at the centre include, computing at all levels, beauty and holistic therapies, childcare, art and craft, dancing, exercise classes and a range of short courses, including Health and Safety and food hygiene.

Community activities at the Centre include, after school activities for children, football coaching and a mother and toddler group. The Centre is host to various advise agencies, such as, Citizens Advise Bureau, Welfare Rights, Job Centre and the Pensions Agency.

Additionally the Centre offers competitive rates for meetings, exhibitions and conferences, is close to motorways and major roads and the village is served by a rail link to Wakefield, Leeds and Doncaster. It is fare to say that the Centre has made a significant impact on the local community by providing free childcare and education and training courses, enabling people to gain employment or to improve their job prospects. It has also been of enormous social benefit, bringing together the local community in a purpose built, well resourced, local venue.
