The Freeston Business and Enterprise College is a Voluntary Controlled Secondary School with 1,130 pupils aged 11 - 16 years. We are committed to providing high quality education for all our students throughout the day.
We are also equally committed and enthusiastic about providing an exciting range of learning opportunities to the wider adult community - a provision which has been operating successfully in conjunction with Adult Education in Wakefield since 1998. We hope to enhance this provision in the near future having received the prestigious status as Wakefield's first Full Service Extended School in April 2004. This will enable the College to open longer hours (8.30 am until 9 pm) during the week, and also throughout the school holidays. This will offer a variety of learning experiences to the community.
At Freeston we try to provide a welcoming, friendly, atmosphere for learners. In an effort to make courses rewarding and beneficial for learners, our staff are happy to discuss course requirements at the centre prior to enrolling.
