Wakefield Adult and Community Education Service

Access

The purpose of the Adult Education Service is to enrich the quality of life within the Wakefield District by encouraging learning as a life-long activity, and by making education available and accessible to the widest possible range of Wakefield residents.

The adult education service believes that all students should have equal access to our programmes, and an equal chance to succeed within them. We operate within an Inclusive Learning framework and employ skilled and competent staff who will work with classes of mixed abilities.

It is our intention to make every reasonable effort to enable students who are disabled or who have learning difficulties or disabilities, to participate in the class of their choice.

These pages describe what we do to provide for disabled students, and also tells you where to go for more detailed information if you need it.

Copies of our Disability Statement are available online, from your local centre, or from the Manygates Centre.
